    Administration and Accounting Lead

I chose to study Business Administration and Management (ADE) because of my childhood fascination with organising documents and paperwork. My curiosity for the business world and the career opportunities offered by this training motivated me. My inspiration in choosing my studies was to obtain the interdisciplinary learning necessary to grow both professionally and personally.

Today, as Lead of the Administration and Accounting Department at PLD Space and after nine years in the company, I am satisfied and happy with my career. Although I have achieved my initial dream, I still have hopes and new objectives for the future. In the next 10 years, I want to keep learning, face new challenges and responsibilities, and continue my constant training.

My advice to future generations of women is to believe in themselves, to surround themselves with people who add up and believe in them, both professionally and personally. I stress the importance of building a network in order to achieve your childhood dreams.

    Purchasing Lead

I studied English philology and then specialised in international business to expand my career opportunities beyond national borders. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to take on roles of responsibility at an international level, travelling in Europe and Asia, which has allowed me to apply my academic training.

Taking on responsibilities always generates a certain sense of vertigo, but I see it as a challenge that pushes me to demonstrate my ability to excel. Currently, I am responsible for the purchasing department at PLD Space, a leading aerospace technology company in Spain. In addition, I have been a mother for almost a year now, and managing to balance motherhood with my vocation and work is very rewarding.

In my professional future, my goal is to continue learning every day with enthusiasm, and I would encourage future generations of women to pursue their desires with attitude, seizing opportunities and facing adversity without losing heart. Hard work always pays off, and we are in an era where women have the same opportunities.

    Program Manager

I chose to study aeronautical engineering influenced by a friend of my parents who introduced me to the sector and awakened my interest. My inspiration in choosing these studies was the possibility of dedicating myself to something unusual, especially in the female sphere, seeking to explore a sector unknown to most people.

Today, I manage projects in the aerospace sector, something unusual and something I learn every day. I consider that I have succeeded in realising that dream. As leader of the Program Management Office in charge of the MIURA programme, my role is crucial to the organisation.

In the next 10 years, I want to bring success to MIURA 5 and beyond. Although my professional focus has shifted to engineering project management, I find new inspiration to motivate me, while still learning from the technical side.

I would advise future generations of women that it is possible to achieve their goals with motivation, effort and perseverance.

    Communications Manager

I chose a career in journalism because I always knew that I "belonged to Words". I wanted to tell exciting stories, learn something new every day and avoid routine. After 15 years as a journalist, I fulfilled that dream by becoming the Head of Communications at PLD Space.

In my current role, I manage the communication of PLD Space's progress, plan milestones, maintain media relations and manage content. In an environment where we are always growing and setting ourselves new challenges, my job becomes a continuous motivation.

In the next 10 years, I aspire to see PLD Space become a global reference for space launcher information. I envision a larger, multimedia team capable of adapting in near real-time. I am particularly excited to tell the world about the success of the first flight of MIURA 5, as I experienced with MIURA 1.

My message to future generations of women is that nothing is impossible for us. With hard work, we can achieve any goal. Never stop dreaming and never stop flying.

    Human Resources Business Partner

I chose to study Industrial Relations and specialise in Human Resource Management because I believe in the crucial role of people in organisational success. My inspiration was the possibility to work directly with teams, helping them to reach their full potential and contribute to the success of the organisation.

Today, I am an HR Business Partner at PLD Space, part of an exciting project with an exceptional team. My responsibility involves acting strategically, working closely with employees and dealing with various HR functions.

In the future, I dream of continuing to contribute to the success of PLD Space, to build a strong team and to be an HR reference in the aerospace industry.

I would advise future generations of women to find their passion and choose to focus on it. In this way, through your personal satisfaction, you will achieve success in your professional career.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we spoke with 5 women from across the company in senior management positions whose work helps deliver impactful experiences inside and outside PLD Space.
